Abstract

Open communication between husband and wife, especially newlyweds, plays a very important role in building a foundation for a healthy and harmonious relationship, both parties can express their feelings, hopes, and resolve differences wisely. In addition, the beginning of marriage is a period of adjustment that is full of challenges. At this stage, husband and wife are learning to live together and understand each other's habits, and build cooperation from various aspects of life. Therefore, building a harmonious family relationship requires open communication between couples, because basically the lack of communication between couples can have an impact or influence on divorce cases. The data collection technique uses a qualitative research method through interviews and observations using a case study approach. This article aims to provide an understanding or explore how important open communication is between husband and wife, especially newlyweds, in building harmony in the family.
